An exhibition to mark 40 years since the last brew at Devenish Brewery
A new exhibition opens on Wednesday 12 November in the Weymouth Pop-Up Museum in St Thomas Street, Weymouth.
It is 40 years since the Devenish Brewery in Hope Square brewed its last beer, bringing to an end a centuries old tradition of large-scale brewing in Weymouth. On the closure of the Brewery in 1985, equipment and memorabilia were passed to Weymouth Museum and are on display once more.
The Museum will be running talks and demonstrations of brewing on Thursday 20 November, Thursday 8 January and Saturday 24 January, all at 11am.
This event takes place during museum opening times 10am to 2pm Monday to Saturday.
