Our annual summer night out in Weymouth, is one of the highlights of the West Dorset CAMRA social calendar. To coincide with the annual ticket launch for Weymouth Octoberfest this year sees a slightly different approach; a pub half-marathon! Yes, 13 pubs no less, with a varied selection of beers on offer. I would suggest “halves” are the order of the evening! Meet 17.45 in the Doghouse Micro Pub, then allowing approximately 20 minutes per pub with minimal walking between the following in order: The Swan, over the bridge to the Kings Arms followed by the Belvedere & Boot. Returning over the bridge the Ship, Globe, Market House & Tin Cat (Golden Lion), before heading back via the Wellington, Black Dog, William Henry and for those that make all 13 finishing in the Dolphin! Tickets for Weymouth Octoberfest don’t officially go on sale until 7am on Friday 1st August, but by coming along the night before you will be able to buy your tickets a day early, and be sure of getting the ones you want.
As we did last year, if you bring along a friend (or two!) and they join CAMRA on the night, they will get a “FREE OCTOBERFEST” ticket to a session of their choosing. They will also get a £5 discount off their first year’s membership and a free West Dorset CAMRA 50th anniversary badge
As you can see from the picture above, we always have a really good turnout for this event. With over 200 members in the Weymouth area, it would be great to see even more of you this year.
