There is just under a week to go as the Friends of the Elm Tree need to raise approximately £300,000 to save their beloved pub and as well as monies raised at events, the group also has a crowdfunder running which currently stands at £51,973.
All funds raised will go towards securing the freehold of the pub which will be under community ownership ‘so that decisions are made with the heart of the village in mind.’
Those wishing to support the Elm Tree can also purchase shares into the venue starting at £200.
