A JD Wetherspoon on main street consisting of numerous alcoves and seating areas. To the rear is a sunny patio area with wheelchair access to the main internal area. Serves both national and local ales. Thought to once being a leading coaching inn dating from the late 1700s with its entrance leading to a stable yard. The pub offers a full food menu and is open for breakfast daily, welcoming children and families.
Situated on the min A35, opposite the church the pub was badly damaged by fire in 2015 but, like Phoenix, has risen from the ashes, acquiring a new name! The interior is light and airy with a decked patio area at rear.
