This year’s annual Dorchester Beerex held in Dorchester Corn Exchange exceeded all expectations and generated a massive £27,500.

The votes have been counted and we can now announce the Weymouth Octoberfest beer of the festival! Congratulations to all three.
We’ll see you back at Weymouth Octoberfest on 4th and 5th October 2024.
In the meantime, Dorchester Beerex returns on 2nd and 3rd February 2024.

On Sunday afternoon, we were back at Weymouth Pavilion to hand out beer and cider of the festival awards for Weymouth Octoberfest.
Twisted Cider with Stormy Lemonade picked up the cider award.
Congratulations to them on their success.

After winning the Beer of festival award last October, a beer tasting event in Dorchester was chosen as the venue for presenting the award.
25 CAMRA members came to the event and the opportunity was taken to hand over the well earned reward.
Paul Smith collected his award for his Blackberry Mild winning the Beer of Festival last October.
… This was the first opportunity we could get together since then!
Newly opened Cerne Abbas Brewery wins the public vote as Beer of festival at Weymouth Octoberfest.
Runner up was Sixpenny IPA from Sixpenny Brewery in Sixpenny Handley.

A beer from Orkney in Scotland – Highland Brewery’s Duke IPA – was the winner at Dorchester Beerex at the weekend.
