The Royal Portland Arms will be holding a Meet the Brewer night on September 14th 5.30 – 9.30 with brewer Ben of Wookey Ale.
Red Triangle Cricket Club are running a Cider Festival at the George Inn from 25thAugust over the Bank Holiday weekend. They expect to have thirteen great ciders and perries for you to enjoy.
Member RW told us at the end of June the pub had reopened under new management. Beers at that time were Doombar and Butcombe Original.

We’re moving into that time of year when there are several festivals each month. Keep an eye on our festivals calendar. Next up is the George Inn, Portland which hosts the Red Triangle Cricket Club St Georges beer festival over the four days of the Easter Weekend.
Mike Fox (club steward) of the Portland Royal British Legion Club, located in Fortuneswell, tells me that they now have three real ales on – changing weekly – and that “camra members are more than welcome to visit and enjoy our ales”.
The New Inn, Easton, on Portland is now selling several real ales. It is operating a discount scheme for CAMRA members – like the one at the Royal Portland Arms – where a reduced price for drinks is given on production of you CAMRA card!
