Those of you who attended Weymouth Octoberfest will already know that it was a great success. Here is what festival organiser, Dave Harris had to say about the event:
“What a fantastic Octoberfest we had this weekend!. We sold out all tickets one week before the festival. This hasn’t happened for a long time. It was really great to see all the customers return in good spirits ready to enjoy lots of ales and ciders all made in Dorset. The event itself ran very smoothly, thanks to all the great volunteers who make it possible and the terrific support we received from the team at Weymouth Pavilion.
We were still selling tokens to people at closing time on the Saturday and That Britpop Band went down a storm, finishing the event off brilliantly. I hope that many of you who had the experience there will consider volunteering in future to keep the event running so well. Cheers!!!”
Octoberfest co-organiser Rich Gabe said “It was fantastic to be back in the Ocean room Weymouth pavilion after a two year break. All attending had a good time sampling the finest beers and ciders from Dorset.
Conversation ruled both lunchtime sessions, while Friday evening saw customers getting into the weekend mode.
Saturday night was a great party atmosphere with That Britpop band providing the entertainment.
We finally exorcised the ghost of selling out of beer from 2019 with a large selection of beers avaliable Saturday night.
We look forward to returning next year.”
